Five Star Trail Poker Run

Five Star Trail Poker Run DetailsDate: July 22, 2017Time: Registration begins at 8:00 am. Event starts at 9:00 am and ends at noon.Location: Five Star Trail, Event begins at Lynch Field, GreensburgFee: Pre-registration fee only $15, On-site registration fee $20Proceeds benefit the Five Star Trail and the Westmoreland Heritage TrailChoose a 12-mile bike ride or a 4-mile walkWhat is the Poker Run?    The Poker Run is two events in one! Participants can choose a four-mile walk or a twelve-mile bike ride. Choose a playing card from a deck of cards at each of five checkpoints along the trail; at the end of the event, each participant will have assembled a full poker hand. The top three poker hands for each event will receive a trophy and a special prize package. This is not a race to see who finishes first!

Westmoreland County Summer Concert Series

Summer Concert Series Enjoy FREE Sunday concerts in the parks beginning in June. Concerts are scheduled at Cedar Creek and Twin Lakes Parks throughout the summer and feature local musicians and groups.Cedar Creek  All concerts start at 4:00 pm at the Amphitheater (unless noted) Schedule will be posted soon!  Twin Lakes Park  All concerts will take place at the Brian T. Rusnock Amphitheater, Twin Lakes Park Expansion Area(unless noted)Battle of the Bands Contest – June 10, 2017The winning bad will have the opportunity to be the opening act for an upcoming summer concert series show! Westmoreland County Senior Games Bring a friend for fun and fitness!May 2 – 12, 2017  Mammoth Park and various Greensburg locations  Registration Fee only $10!includes the official 2017 Senior Games T-Shirt 30 Olympic-Style Eventssuch as bocce, bowling, golf, horseshoes and more! Open to athletes age 50 and up!Age Brackets: 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, 90+ Attention Bowlers!The 2017 Bowling Event will be held at Main Bowling Center, located on South Main Street in Greensburg, AND Hillview Lanes, located at 829 East Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg. There will be THREE time slots this year. Your team must all bowl at the same time. When you register, you must request which time you want. If you are able to bowl at the latest time, we encourage you to do so. Time slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Westmoreland County Fishing Derbies

Free Fishing Derbies Welcome fishermen of all ages! Free fishing derbies are held annually at Mammoth, Northmoreland and Twin Lakes Parks from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Trophies and prizes are awarded to both adults and youth, and a door prize drawing will be held for all registered participants. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. and to be eligible for door prizes, all contestants must be registered by noon. All participants ages 16 and older must display a current fishing license.
