Veterans Food Collection for Holiday Season
We at Laurel Highlands Historical Village have continued the task of feeding those veterans and elderly who are in need of food and other necessities. We are collecting Gift cards, food items, paper goods, Hygiene Products, blankets, ceramic heaters and new & used kitchen items, towels, for those in need. Please at this time our supplies are very low. We have veterans calling us weekly for support, and we can help any veteran or veterans’ family, as long as we have the food and supplies.
We need your support in helping us to round up food and other items. If you can hold a food drive at your church, veterans’ group, School, etc. It would be much appreciated. Please contact us if you have any questions. Also, if you know of any veterans or shut in elderly person or family, please call us. We thank you for your support and consideration.
Please take your donations to the gallery mall Lottery booth, Hoss’s in Ebensburg or Johnstown, Kimmies restaurant in Mundys Corner, Stagers in Portage. Supplies are extremely low at this time Please consider helping our veterans in need.

We are working with area veterans’ groups including the county Veterans Office. During the summer months we can ask for food donations outside of Wal mart however the winter season makes it tough to do this task. This is why we need your help, now. Clothing – Gloves, Hats, hand warmers, Flashlights, Outdoor and indoor solar lights
We are also looking for any used cameras and video cams for use in our after-school program of teaching children these skills.
