Benedictine Nuns – St. Emma Monastery – Greensburg, Pennsylvania

We are a small community of Benedictine Nuns who try to seek God in this “school of the Lord’s service” known as St. Emma Monastery.  Each of us has experienced Jesus in a personal way that has drawn us to this particular Benedictine Monastery with its own history, particular setting, in this local church of Greensburg.  A vocation is to a particular community—just as marriage is to a particular spouse.

The Latrobe Community Revitalization Program

Welcome to the LCRP!  We are a community and economic development based organization implementing a vision for a safer, more walkable, sustainable and family oriented town. We work closely with business owners, all forms of leadership in the City, non profit and county organizations, and most importantly, the families and citizens who make Latrobe the gem of the Laurel Highlands.

The Westmoreland Cultural Trust – Connecting the Cultural and Historical Efforts of Westmoreland County

In 1969, Katherine Mabis McKenna, a well known philanthropist educated in engineer drawing, provided the design and the funds to build the Greensburg Garden and Civic Center. The reason to build the center was two-fold: It served as a memorial to her dearly departed son, Mennel, as well as providing her with a catalyst that would enable her vision of an educational and cultural civic center to come to fruition.
