Welcome to the online home of the Fayette County Fair where all paid admission includes carnival rides, the outdoor arena and indoor arena.
The Fayette County Fair had its beginnings on the O.W. Rittenhouse and Edward Higbee farms. Called ‘Field Days’, the events were sponsored by a group of progressive farmers, who were first organized by PSU County Agricultural Extension Agent Rex Carter. In May 1955, the group became the Fayette County Agricultural Improvement Agency.
Lastly, with a total attendance of nearly 100,000 people, our fair ranks as one of the largest fairs in Pennsylvania. Come and enjoy the many quality events held here at the Fayette County Fair.

Quecreek Mine Rescue SiteWe invite you to come visit the rescue site where you can walk right up to the rescue shaft where the miners emerged from the dark, cold mine 240 feet below after 77 hours of frigid darkness. You will be greeted by the 7 foot tall bronze statue of a coal miner at the top of the walkway into the rescue site. Hear the story of the miracle from people personally involved in the rescue. Touch the rescue capsule and try to imagine how it would feel to squeeze into it with your strength nearly gone.
